Daikin FTKD35AV1H 1.5 HP 420 R32 Inverter Cooling-only Wall-mounted Split Air Conditioner

The Daikin FTKD35AV1H is a 1.5 HP R32 inverter cooling-only wall-mounted split air conditioner in the 420 series. Its indoor unit is 770mm wide, suiting rooms with limited wall space.

1.5 HP, 11,000 BTU/h, 770mm-wide indoor unit

This model has a rated cooling capacity of 3.22kW. Its indoor unit has the same dimensions as the 1 HP FTKD25AV1H (8,800 BTU/h) in the same series; if you choose the 2 HP FTKD50AV1H (17,100 BTU/h) instead, the indoor unit width increases to 990mm. When choosing the horsepower, consider not only the room size but also the number of occupants, sunlight and insulation; west-facing rooms, top-floor rooms and rooms often used by several people may need a higher cooling capacity.

Grade 1 energy label, annual cooling energy consumption 324kWh

Inverter technology controls the compressor speed to keep the room at the set temperature, without the repeated starting and stopping of a fixed-speed unit, which reduces energy consumption. CSPF is 5.0194 and rated cooling power input is 1,075W. It also has inverter powerful mode and energy-saving mode.

3D all-round airflow, distributing air evenly to every corner of the room

The power-airflow flap works with the extra-wide airflow angle to swing automatically up and down and left and right; maximum airflow is 10.19m³/min, with 5 speeds. The indoor unit noise level is 29-40dB(A).

420mm-high outdoor unit, suited to narrow window ledges

The outdoor unit measures 765 x 420 x 291mm (W x H x D) and weighs 24kg; it can be installed on the existing window unit platform. The pipe and cable connection point is at the back of the outdoor unit, so the connection work can be done from indoors and scaffolding may not be needed, depending on actual circumstances and the building structure.

Gin-ION silver-ion filter and Daikin Mobile Controller (optional)

The Gin-ION filter uses silver ions to break down and deactivate viruses attached to the filter surface and to inhibit bacterial growth on the filter, and it also filters dust, pollen and allergens.

It comes with an ARC485B1 wireless remote control with luminous buttons. Daikin Mobile Controller is an optional feature: with an internet connection and wireless LAN coverage at home, you can use your phone to switch the unit on and off, set the mode and temperature, schedule a weekly timetable and monitor it remotely. Other functions include sleep mode, programme dry and a 24-hour on/off timer.

• The indoor unit measures 770 x 288 x 234mm (W x H x D) and weighs 9kg.
• Maximum piping length is 20m and maximum height difference is 10m.
• R32 is a mildly flammable refrigerant. It must be installed and serviced by technicians with relevant experience, who must confirm the indoor unit installation height and the minimum room area.
• Warranty: the indoor unit and outdoor unit must be purchased together. Register online with Daikin within 1 month of purchase to receive a 2-year full unit warranty and 5-year compressor warranty; without registration the warranty is 12 months.
