With the washer below and the dryer above, the Speed Queen ATEE9ASP435XW34 is a single stacked unit made in the USA, offering 10.5kg of washing capacity and 10.5kg of drying capacity, with two separate drums.

683mm wide footprint, dryer on top and washer below in one unit

The washer and dryer are stacked as one. At 683mm wide and 756mm deep, the unit takes up the floor space of a single machine, yet gives you both a washing drum and a drying drum. The washing drum is 96.8L and the drying drum is 198L, each with 10.5kg capacity.

As these are two separate drums, clothes must be moved to the upper dryer once washed, unlike a single-drum washer dryer.

Replacing a top-load washer: can it go in the same spot?

For the washing part, yes. The lower front-load washer uses pump drainage, so it can sit next to a top-load washer or directly replace it in the same position, with no special changes to the pipes needed. However, the unit is 1986mm tall, and the upper vented dryer needs an exhaust position arranged separately.

1200rpm, 440 G spin and a 24-minute full-load quick wash

The max spin speed of 1200rpm generates 440 G of centrifugal force, removing more water to shorten the drying time that follows and reduce electricity costs.

The washer has an inverter motor, laundry weight sensing and stainless steel inner and outer tubs, and the 24-minute quick wash can be used with a full load. The 4 water temperature settings, 4 spin speed settings and 4 soil level settings, plus pre-wash, soak and extra rinse, let you adjust the wash to how soiled the laundry is. The door opens to 180° for easier loading and unloading, and there is also a 4-compartment detergent drawer, remaining time display, delayed start and key lock.

The upper dryer has the largest door opening in the industry, with interior lighting, and the door is reversible.

Moisture sensing works with 4 dryness levels, so you can preset extra dry, iron dry or cupboard dry. There are also 4 drying temperature settings, 8 drying programmes, timed drying (30/60/90/120 minutes), anti-crease and Eco Dry. The large lint filter is easy to clean.
