Rasonic RIC-SNG211 Built-in/Freestanding Kitchen Two-Zone Induction Hob (13A)

The Rasonic RIC-SNG211 is a two-zone induction hob powered from a 13A socket, with an independent IH zone on each of the left and right. It can stand on a worktop or be built into a kitchen cabinet. For households adding another cooking zone to the kitchen, or replacing an old two-zone hob, the installation method can be chosen to suit the kitchen space.

Factory-fitted 13A plug; freestanding use needs no extra installation service

Plug into a dedicated socket and you can start cooking; alternatively, the hob can be wired to a fixed connection through a dedicated switch. When it is built into a cabinet, space for the air inlet and outlet must be left beneath the unit.

8 power levels, with the left and right zones sharing 2800W total power

When cooking on one side only, a single zone can reach up to 2800W; if either side is set to level 8, the other side automatically stops heating. After the highest level has been used continuously for about 10 minutes, power is reduced automatically.

The hob also has 8 temperature levels. The timer can be set from 1 minute to 8 hours, and heating stops automatically when the countdown ends, so there is no need to switch the hob off by hand.

Child safety lock, and heating stops automatically after 120 minutes idle

Hold for 2 seconds to lock all function keys, and hold for another 2 seconds to unlock. When no suitable cookware has been placed on the hob, automatic pan detection signals with a beep and flashing light, and the hob returns to standby after 1 minute.

If no key is pressed and no timer is set for 120 minutes during heating, the hob sounds an alert first and then stops heating. When the hob surface is at about 50°C or above, the residual heat indicator flashes to remind the family not to touch it. The hob also has overheat auto cut-off protection.

Grade 2 energy label, thermal efficiency 88.5%

According to the energy label information from the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, annual energy consumption is 620kWh, which helps with budgeting for electricity.

Before you buy

• Body size is about 650mm wide, 346mm deep and 78mm high.
• Built-in installation needs a cut-out 615mm wide x 315mm deep; leave at least 100mm of space around the body. For built-in use, also allow at least 150mm of height below and an air inlet/outlet of at least 80cm².
• A dedicated 13A socket is required; extension boards and extension cables must not be used. For a fixed wiring connection, a dedicated switch of 13A or above is required.
• Cookware must be flat-bottomed and suitable for induction hobs; iron or magnetic stainless steel pans both work, with a base diameter of 120-200mm.
• Comes with a 5-year warranty.
