Philips NA231/09 6.2L Air Fryer with Viewing Window

The Philips NA231/09 is a 2000 Series air fryer with a 6.2L basket, a cooking window and a touchscreen, suited to users who want to keep an eye on doneness while cooking.

The inside light has its own button; press it to light up the food in the basket. During cooking the machine also sounds a reminder to shake the food.

RapidAir technology with starfish design for a crisp outside and soft inside with little or no oil

RapidAir works with the starfish design to circulate hot air quickly through the basket. Compared with a conventional electric fryer cooking homemade fries, fat is reduced by up to 90%. Philips in-house lab tests used chicken breast (160°C) or salmon fillets (200°C) without preheating; compared with a grade A oven, cooking is 50% faster and uses up to 70% less electricity.

The temperature can be set between 60-200°C and the timer runs for up to 60 minutes. No preheating is needed to start cooking.

6.2L capacity, enough for 800g of fries or 8 chicken legs at a time

Besides frying, baking and stir-frying, the 13 cooking methods also include defrosting, dehydrating and reheating, so frozen food and leftovers can be handled by the same machine. The touchscreen has 9 presets: frozen fries, fresh fries, chicken legs, meat, fish, breakfast, vegetables, cake and keep warm, so there is no need to set the temperature and time item by item.

When the keep-warm function is turned on, food is kept warm for another 30 minutes after cooking finishes, so it stays warm if it cannot be eaten right away.

Dishwasher-safe inner pot and frying insert for time-saving cleaning

The inner pot has a BPA-free non-stick coating. The HomeID app includes thousands of free recipes with matching cooking settings, making it easy to try new dishes.
