Philips HD5225/60 5000 Series 1.5L Uncoated IH Induction Rice Cooker

The Philips HD5225/60 is a 5000 Series 1.5L induction heating (IH) rice cooker built around an uncoated SUS304 inner pot and water-film non-stick technology. It suits households that want to avoid coated inner pots and care about moist, tender rice.

Uncoated SUS304 inner pot, with no coating to peel off

Both the inner lid and inner pot are made of uncoated food-grade stainless steel, and the inner pot has a 2mm-thick steel-aluminium composite structure. The cooking surface carries more than 6,000 micro-structures (external laboratory data), and base air cooling blows cool air evenly, forming an even water film during cooking. The water film supports every grain of rice, so it is less likely to stick to the bottom and the pot stays moist.

Dual temperature and water-volume sensing chips imported from Japan judge the amount of rice from the cooking curve, then adjust the algorithm dynamically, so there is no need to measure the rice-to-water ratio again and again.

The Golden Claypot Rice mode simulates a wood-fire effect, producing a crisp rice crust that also comes away from the pot easily. Once cooked, rice can be kept warm for up to 12 hours, so there is hot rice for family members who come home late.

Fully removable parts for thorough cleaning

The non-stick inner pot makes it easy to serve rice onto plates, and leftover rice rinses off with a light flush. Removable parts can be washed by hand or placed in a dishwasher.
