Philips BAR300/60 Baristina Espresso Machine

The Philips Baristina BAR300/60 is a charcoal black espresso machine, with every espresso brewed from freshly ground beans. Just swipe the portafilter and the machine grinds, tamps and brews automatically, suiting those who want freshly ground coffee at home without using capsules.

16 bar pump extraction to release the rich flavour of the beans

Just before each brew, the ceramic grinder grinds the beans to the right fineness, and the machine then tamps precisely and controls the dose, so the coffee keeps the aroma of freshly ground beans. During extraction, the pump gives the espresso rich, creamy crema and a well-balanced taste. The machine can also recognise different types of coffee beans, so whichever you switch to, the beans' own flavour comes through.

Swipe the portafilter to start, espresso ready in under 60 seconds

As no pre-heating is needed, you can brew straight after switching on, and the portafilter returns to its original position automatically when brewing is done. The operating noise is 72dB, making the whole brewing process simple and quiet.

3-button operation, with a strength boost for espresso and Lungo

Espresso is preset at 40ml and Lungo at 110ml, and both volumes can be customised to taste. For a stronger cup, press the strength button and the machine grinds more beans to make a stronger espresso or Lungo. There is no need to guess or keep readjusting, and no coffee is wasted.

After use, remove the portafilter and press once to eject the used coffee puck, then rinse the portafilter with hot water. There are no other parts inside the machine to clean, and the drip tray is dishwasher-safe. The portafilter is not dishwasher-safe.

Baristina uses coffee beans directly, with no plastic or aluminium capsules, and the used coffee grounds can be composted. The body is made with 50% recycled plastic (excluding parts that come into contact with water and coffee), and it is sold in plastic-free packaging.
