The Philips AC3681/10 is a Series 3000 pet air purifier designed for the floating hair, odour and allergy problems common in households with pets. It has an automatic floating hair collection system, while Mixhole dual-effect technology deals with pet odours and formaldehyde at the same time.

Once broken down by Mixhole dual-effect technology, pet odour molecules form harmless solids such as salt and water, quickly removing pet odours from your home. The same technology also removes formaldehyde from the air, so it suits the whole family.

Floating hair collection system: a scraper automatically moves hair into the hair collection box

Air is drawn in from both sides and the bottom and expelled from the top, creating accelerated air circulation. Floating pet hair is first caught by the washable front filter, then a scraper automatically moves up and down to sweep it into the removable hair collection box. Hair does not drift through the air, and the whole process needs no manual operation.

After each cleaning, the system cleans itself again automatically after about 360 hours; it does not start in sleep mode or in a dark environment.

Tested to the same standard, the airborne removal rates of influenza A virus H1N1, Staphylococcus albus and Escherichia coli all exceed 99.9%; the filter also captures 99.97% of particles as small as 0.003 microns.

AeraSense detects 60,000 times per minute, and auto mode adjusts fan speed to air quality

The AeraSense smart sensor works with a PM2.5 sensor to monitor harmful airborne pollutants continuously; in auto mode, the purifier adjusts fan speed to real-time air quality. The display shows the IAI indoor allergen index 1-12 and gas pollution level L1-L4, so you can see at a glance when air quality worsens.

Besides auto mode, there are sleep and pet turbo modes. In sleep mode, the display turns off 3 seconds after activation, reducing light disturbance at night.

Pet lock prevents accidental presses, and a vacuum cleaner brush fits under the unit

The pet lock stops pets from pressing the buttons by accident; four feet support a sturdy base, so the unit is not easily knocked over when pets play nearby. The base is tall enough to take the floor brush of most household vacuum cleaners, so you can reach straight underneath when cleaning.
