Mitsubishi Electric MJ-E100AR-H 18L Dehumidifier

The Mitsubishi Electric MJ-E100AR-H is a white, Japanese-made dehumidifier that removes 18L a day at 30°C and 80% RH. The recommended room area in Strong mode is 42m² (concrete housing, JEMA standard), suited to families who need everyday damp protection or dry clothes indoors.

Annual energy consumption of 74kWh, Grade 1 energy label

Under the energy label standard of 26.7°C and 60% RH, the unit removes 10L a day and consumes 175W in operation.

When the room temperature is about 15°C or below, the unit defrosts automatically about every 60 minutes. If there is a power failure during operation, the unit resumes in the mode it was in before the failure once power is restored, so you do not need to select the mode again.

Smart Laundry adjusts airflow to room humidity, while Night Laundry reduces fan noise

With Smart Laundry, the unit estimates how long your laundry needs to dry and stops automatically when that time is up. It runs for about 1 hour up to a maximum of about 12 hours, so you do not need to work out when to switch it off.

For drying clothes at night, switch to Night Laundry. It stops automatically in the same way as Smart Laundry, but the drying time is longer than with Smart Laundry. When the airflow direction is set to "Upward", the louvre automatically changes its swing speed so that clothes receive even airflow.

Silver ion filter traps pollen and dust, with independent air purification

The white dust-collecting layer of the filter traps pollen and dust, while the blue layer deodorises. Under normal conditions, the filter can be reused for about 2 years.

On days when dehumidifying is not needed, press the independent air purification button to purify the air only; the dehumidifying function is paused.

Humidity setting of 50%-70% and five dehumidifying modes

With the humidity setting mode, the unit stops dehumidifying once indoor humidity falls below the set value, then starts again when humidity rises, keeping the room at the humidity level you set. Easy Dehumidification runs intermittently according to indoor humidity and switches airflow automatically, so you do not need to adjust it step by step. When you need to remove moisture as quickly as possible, choose Strong mode, which runs continuously at high airflow; when you want less noise, choose Weak mode, which runs continuously at low airflow, with less fan noise than Strong mode.

After showering, turn on Bathroom Mould Guard to dry the moisture and water droplets left in the bathroom and inhibit mould growth. Once humidity drops to 50%, the unit keeps running for about 4 hours before stopping automatically. It is best placed in the changing area at the bathroom door, not inside the bathroom.

Four-way airflow and Internal Drying keep the unit dry after use

There are four airflow directions: wide-angle for dehumidifying a whole room; upward to focus on drying hanging clothes; backward for dehumidifying the cupboard behind the unit; and downward for dehumidifying bedding.

Internal Drying runs automatically for about 1 hour after each run, and can also be started manually, to inhibit mould growth inside the unit.

Dehumidifying capacity: MJ-E100AR-H vs MJ-E130AL-H

At 30°C and 80% RH, the MJ-E100AR-H removes 18L a day and the MJ-E130AL-H removes 22.5L, with recommended room areas in Strong mode of 42 and 54m² respectively. The two models have the same dimensions, and the MJ-E130AL-H comes in Sakura Pearl, so you can choose according to room size and colour.

• Water tank capacity 4.7L; the unit stops automatically when the tank is full. For continuous drainage, you need a separate hose with a 15mm inner diameter, and the hose must not be higher than the drain outlet.
• Soak-wash the silver ion filter about every 3 months; replace it after 8 washes or when it turns yellow or black.
• Operating temperature is 5-35°C. If the room temperature is 15°C or below during operation, the panel displays a low-temperature symbol, and Strong mode is recommended.
