The FTXP71MV1H is the highest-capacity cooling and heating model in the Daikin Coanda Airflow FTXP series. This 3 HP R32 inverter cooling and heating wall-mounted split air conditioner pairs with the RXP71MV1H outdoor unit, and suits households that need 7.1kW of cooling and heating capacity and whose outdoor unit has to be installed further from the indoor unit.

Max piping length of 30m, the longest of the five FTXP capacities

The max piping length is 15m for 1 HP and 1.5 HP and 20m for 2 HP and 2.5 HP; this model extends it to 30m, with a max height difference of 20m.

Cooling and heating capacities are both 7.1kW (24,200 BTU/h), and both energy labels are Grade 1. The CSPF is 5.4613 and the HSPF is 4.9462; annual cooling energy consumption is 657kWh and annual heating energy consumption is 62kWh.

When choosing a capacity, consider the number of occupants, sunlight and insulation as well as the size of the room. West-facing rooms, top-floor rooms and rooms that are often used by many people may need a higher cooling capacity.

Coanda effect panel and Comfort Airflow operation distribute cool air evenly around the room

The Coanda effect describes how a fluid in contact with a curved surface follows the curve and changes direction, and this series applies the principle to the panel design. When Comfort Airflow operation is on, the airflow follows the curve of the panel towards the ceiling, then descends gently by using the natural tendency of cool air to sink, avoiding direct airflow at people. The unit also has automatic vertical and horizontal swing, wide-angle airflow and 3D airflow.

Hybrid Cooling humidity and temperature control keeps dehumidifying after the set temperature is reached

After a typical inverter air conditioner reaches the set temperature, the compressor lowers its frequency and dehumidifying weakens with it, so the room can feel damp and sticky. Hybrid Cooling combines DESICL humidity control with PIT precise temperature control. Once the temperature is reached, the heat exchanger switches to partial cooling, which keeps dehumidifying without over-cooling, so the room stays fresh.

DryShock cleaning technology: rinse first, then dry the heat exchanger

During cooling, DryShock rinses the heat exchanger with condensate, and the hydrophilic coating on the fins carries away dust and dirt at the same time. It then dries the heat exchanger with heating and fan operation, which kills bacteria and removes odours without making the room too warm. The indoor unit also has a mould-proof filter and mould-proof operation.

Daikin Advance as standard, with a weekly schedule you can preset from a mobile device

With an internet connection and wireless LAN coverage at home, you can use the Daikin Advance app to switch the unit on and off and control the operating mode and temperature from a mobile device, and preset a weekly schedule; when you are out, you can also monitor the air conditioner's operation remotely. The unit also comes with an ARC480A90 wireless remote control with glow-in-the-dark buttons, so the buttons are easy to see in dim light.

From 2.5 HP 6.0kW to 3 HP 7.1kW, with the indoor unit still 990mm wide
