Daikin risora XJ FTXJ25MV1HB is a 1 HP R32 inverter cooling and heating wall-mounted split air conditioner. The black indoor unit comes with a Night Black panel as standard and is paired with the RXJ25MV1H outdoor unit, which suits households with a dark-toned interior that also need both cooling and heating.

The indoor unit is only about as deep as the length of a hand. risora XJ indoor units come in 2 colours, black and white, and the panels range from neutral to bright colours and from wood grain to metallic finishes, so they can be matched to different home styles. This black indoor unit comes with a Night Black panel as standard; panels in other colours are optional.

1 HP, Grade 1 energy label for both cooling and heating, with CSPF 6.4725 the highest in the series

Cooling and heating capacities are both 2.5kW (8,500 BTU/h), with rated power input of 0.570kW and 0.510kW respectively. The CSPF of 6.4725 is the highest of the four risora XJ capacities, with annual cooling energy consumption of 195kWh, and the HSPF is 5.1545, with annual heating energy consumption of 21kWh.

When choosing a capacity, consider the number of occupants, sunlight and insulation as well as the size of the room. West-facing rooms, top-floor rooms and rooms that are often used by many people may need a higher cooling capacity.

Hybrid Cooling humidity and temperature control keeps dehumidifying after the set temperature is reached

After a typical inverter air conditioner reaches the set temperature, the compressor lowers its frequency and dehumidifying weakens with it, so the room can feel damp and sticky. Hybrid Cooling combines DESICL humidity control with PIT precise temperature control. Once the temperature is reached, the heat exchanger switches to partial cooling, which keeps dehumidifying without over-cooling, so the room stays fresh.

DryShock cleaning technology: rinse first, then dry the heat exchanger

During cooling, DryShock rinses the heat exchanger with condensate, and the hydrophilic coating on the fins carries away dust and dirt at the same time. It then dries the heat exchanger with heating and fan operation, which kills bacteria and removes odours without making the room too warm. The high-density mould-proof filter also blocks dust and pollen and prevents mould growth.

When cooling, Comfort Airflow mode sends cool air upwards; when heating, warm air is sent down along the wall instead. The airflow also features automatic vertical and horizontal swing and 3D airflow.

Daikin Advance is a standard feature. Once the unit is connected to the app, you can switch it on and off and control the mode and temperature from a mobile device, and set a weekly schedule; when you are out, you can also monitor the air conditioner's operation remotely. The unit also comes with an ARC480A88 wireless remote control with glow-in-the-dark buttons, so the buttons are easy to see in dim light.

The outdoor unit for 2 HP and 2.5 HP is 795 x 595 x 300mm, and the indoor unit is 798 x 295 x 185mm for all four capacities. For cooling and heating capacity, the 1.5 HP FTXJ35MV1HB is 3.5kW, the 2 HP FTXJ50MV1HB is 5.0kW and the 2.5 HP FTXJ60MV1HB is 6.0kW.

The white model FTXJ25MV1HW comes with a Cloud White panel as standard, and its performance specifications are the same as this model.
