Panasonic FV-23BWN2H Window-Mounted nanoe® X Thermo Ventilator 1400W

The Panasonic FV-23BWN2H is a window-mounted nanoe® X thermo ventilator. Besides 1400W heating, it offers clothes drying, ventilation, circulation and nanoe® X air purification modes. Its slim body fits a small window, making it suitable for homes that want the bathroom to stay warm and the air fresh.

nanoe® X generates 9.6 trillion hydroxyl radicals per second to inhibit viruses, bacteria and mould

Panasonic states that the number of hydroxyl radicals is 20 times that of nanoe®. nanoe® X can effectively inhibit up to 99.99% of viruses and bacteria, including H1N1, H5N1, O157 and drug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, and also inhibits mould, reducing musty smells and mould spots in the bathroom.

Damp odours, sweat smells from clothes and other odours can be removed as well, keeping the bathroom air fresh. nanoe® X has its own button and can run continuously. Unlike ordinary ion modules, its module does not need regular replacement.

1400W heating with hot start function

When the bathroom is below about 20°C, the unit starts with heating and the fan runs at low speed first, switching to high speed once the room warms up or after 60 seconds, so cold air is not blown out. Once the room reaches a certain temperature the heater stops automatically, and it heats again after the temperature drops.

Heating can be timed for up to 180 minutes. Switching on before bathing pre-warms the bathroom.

Warm air drying up to 360 minutes, ventilation up to 220m³/h

For clothes drying, choose warm air drying, or cool air drying, which can run continuously. With the airflow direction set to auto, the louvre swings between about 30° and 90°, and clothes hung within the central range of about 1100mm catch the airflow easily. Leave at least 50mm between items and at least 200mm from the air outlet; thick clothes hung closer to the air outlet will dry more easily.

Ventilation has 2 settings, high and low, and keeps removing moisture after bathing to keep the bathroom dry.

Unit and slim RF remote control both meet the IPX4 splash-proof standard

The RF wireless remote control must be paired with the main unit before first use. If the remote control is lost, press the mode button on the unit to operate it temporarily, each run lasting 15 minutes.

The antibacterial filter has been tested to JIS Z2801 and has an antibacterial rate of 99.9% against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. A filter cleaning indicator light shows when cleaning is due, making regular maintenance easy.

Before you buy

• Installation opening 238 x 242mm (W x H), panel 280 x 280mm, body depth 286mm.
• The window insert must be custom-made; aluminium alloy less than 30mm thick is recommended.
• Install at least 1.8m above the floor, and at least 200mm away from curtains and flammable materials.
• No power cord is supplied. The unit must be connected to fixed wiring, and an all-pole switch and an earth leakage circuit breaker (30mA or below) must be bought separately.
• The new-generation FV-23BWN3H has a ventilation rate of 260m³/h, which Panasonic states is 18% higher than this model.
