The 2 HP Panasonic CS-HZ18BWA is an inverter cooling and heating window-type split air conditioner, paired with the CU-HZ18BWA outdoor unit, and has the highest cooling capacity of the three HZ cooling and heating models. It has a Grade 1 energy label for both cooling and heating and a built-in nanoe® X Mark 3 air purification system, suiting homes that need 2 HP cooling and heating capacity.

The cooling and heating capacity of the CS-HZ18BWA is equivalent to 18,118 BTU/h. Its cooling seasonal performance factor is the highest of the three HZ cooling and heating models: 5.5346 for the 1 HP CS-HZ9BWA and 5.5110 for the 1.5 HP CS-HZ12BWA. The indoor unit is 980mm wide, compared with 820mm for the CS-HZ9BWA and CS-HZ12BWA, so allow the corresponding wall space before installation.

nanoe® X Mark 3 effectively inhibits 99.99% of bacteria and viruses

nanoe® X Mark 3 also effectively inhibits allergens. The air conditioner holds National Asthma Council Australia (NACA) allergy certification and has passed the German VDI 6022 allergy test.

Triple purification: self-cleaning, nanoe® X purification and drying mould protection

When the unit is first switched on, the heat exchanger in the indoor unit frosts up first, then the fan blows air to defrost it, and the frost water carries away dust and dirt. Self-cleaning only keeps the heat exchanger clean; it does not wash the filter. While the unit is running, the air conditioner releases nanoe® X to purify the indoor air.

After the unit is switched off, the fan keeps running and releases nanoe®, using the return airflow to protect the air vanes, heat exchanger and fan against mould and dirt. Mould inside the unit is therefore inhibited, and odours are also prevented from developing inside the unit.

Annual cooling energy consumption of 474kWh

Inverter operation effectively regulates the temperature to a comfortable level and saves energy. Annual heating energy consumption is 45kWh. In humid weather, you can switch on dehumidifying, which removes 3.0L per hour to reduce indoor humidity.
