Panasonic CS-HZ12BWA 1.5HP Wi-Fi Smart Inverter Window Split Air Conditioner with Cooling and Heating

The Panasonic CS-HZ12BWA is a 1.5 HP inverter cooling and heating window-type split air conditioner, paired with the CU-HZ12BWA outdoor unit. It has a built-in nanoe® X Mark 3 air purification system and a Grade 1 energy label for both cooling and heating. Its indoor unit is the same size as that of the 1 HP CS-HZ9BWA, suiting homes that want to keep the same indoor unit position but need 1.5 HP cooling and heating capacity.

Indoor unit 820mm wide, 3.52kW cooling and heating capacity

The indoor unit measures 820 x 315 x 245mm (W x H x D). Cooling and heating capacity are both 3.52kW (12,010 BTU/h), compared with 2.65kW for the CS-HZ9BWA. Moving up from 1 HP to 1.5 HP needs no extra width for the indoor unit; the outdoor unit grows from the CS-HZ9BWA's 443 x 348 x 373mm to 548 x 385 x 471mm (W x H x D). nanoe® X Mark 3 effectively inhibits 99.99% of bacteria and viruses

nanoe® X Mark 3 also effectively inhibits allergens. The air conditioner holds National Asthma Council Australia (NACA) allergy certification and has passed the German VDI 6022 allergy test.

Triple purification: self-cleaning, nanoe® X purification and drying mould protection

When the unit is first switched on, the heat exchanger in the indoor unit frosts up first, then the fan blows air to defrost it, and the frost water carries away dust and dirt. Self-cleaning only keeps the heat exchanger clean; it does not wash the filter. While the unit is running, the air conditioner releases nanoe® X to purify the indoor air.

After the unit is switched off, the fan keeps running and releases nanoe®, using the return airflow to protect the air vanes, heat exchanger and fan against mould and dirt. Mould inside the unit is therefore inhibited, and odours are also prevented from developing inside the unit.

Annual cooling energy consumption of 323kWh

Inverter operation effectively regulates the temperature to a comfortable level and saves energy. Annual heating energy consumption is 30kWh. In humid weather, you can switch on dehumidifying, which removes 2.0L per hour to reduce indoor humidity.
