Panasonic CS-U9CWA 1 HP R32 Cooling-only Inverter Window Split Air Conditioner

Panasonic CS-U9CWA is a 1 HP inverter cooling-only window split air conditioner. The indoor unit is wall-mounted and the outdoor unit sits on the window ledge. At 443mm wide, the outdoor unit is the smallest of the three models in the series, suitable for homes with limited window ledge space that still want a split air conditioner.

If the installation conditions allow, the whole installation can be done from inside, saving the time and cost of putting up scaffolding. Compared with the Panasonic 1 HP window air conditioner CW-SU90AA (450 x 346 x 640mm, W x H x D), the outdoor unit is 7mm narrower and 267mm shallower, but 2mm taller. The 1.5 HP CS-U12CWA in the same series has an outdoor unit 548mm wide, and the 2 HP CS-U18CWA is 651mm wide, so measure the space available first and compare it with the outdoor unit width of each model.

nanoe® X antibacterial action, nanoe-G air purification with negative ions

When the weather cools and you do not need cooling, you can run nanoe® X and nanoe-G on their own to purify the air; the unit then operates in fan mode. Before leaving the air conditioner unused for a long time, run nanoe mode for 2 to 3 hours first to remove residual moisture inside the unit and prevent microbes from growing.

AEROWINGS dual air deflectors, plus sleep, quiet and dehumidify modes

AEROWINGS is Panasonic's new airflow design. The indoor unit has dual air deflectors for flexible airflow. Adjust the left and right deflectors manually to the direction you want; when cooling or dehumidifying, set the airflow direction to auto and the up-down louvres will swing automatically to distribute the air.

When you get home and want to cool the room quickly, switch on quick cooling (POWERFUL) to reach the set temperature rapidly. At night, quiet mode reduces airflow noise, while sleep mode automatically adjusts temperature, airflow and airflow direction to avoid overcooling. In humid weather you can use dehumidify mode, in which the unit runs at low speed with gentle cooling; its dehumidifying capacity is 1.5L per hour.

The 24-hour timer can set two sets of on and off times that repeat daily, and the on-timer can start the unit up to 30 minutes early so that the set temperature is reached on time. After you buy and install the Wi-Fi adapter CZ-TACG1 separately, you can use the Panasonic Comfort Cloud App.

Based on the energy label, the CS-U9CWA annual cooling energy consumption is 264kWh, which you can use to compare power consumption with other air conditioners.

Rated cooling capacity is 2.65kW (9,045 BTU/h). When choosing an air conditioner, consider the number of occupants, sunlight and insulation as well as room area; west-facing rooms, top-floor rooms or rooms often used by many people may need higher cooling capacity, so assess your actual conditions before buying.
