Sony WF-1000XM6 Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds

The Sony WF-1000XM6 wireless noise cancelling earbuds use a QN3e noise cancelling processor and a V2 integrated processor for noise cancelling. The earbuds play for up to 8 hours with noise cancelling on, or up to 24 hours with the charging case, and support LDAC and Qi wireless charging.

QN3e and V2 dual processors for noise cancelling, plus an ambient sound mode

The WF-1000XM6 uses a QN3e noise cancelling processor and a V2 integrated processor, with adaptive noise cancelling and an ambient sound mode. Each earbud has an 8.4mm driver built in.

The earbuds support DSEE Extreme and 360 Reality Audio, and can also be used with the Sony | Sound Connect app.

LDAC transmission, with a frequency range up to 40kHz

Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity supports the SBC, AAC, LDAC and LC3 codecs. With normal playback at 44.1kHz sampling, the frequency range is 20Hz-20kHz. When transmitting over LDAC at 96kHz sampling, the frequency range reaches 20Hz-40kHz.

Battery life of the earbuds is shorter when using LDAC, at up to 5 hours with noise cancelling on and up to 8 hours with it off. The WF-1000XM6 also supports LE Audio and Auracast, which require a compatible device.

Bone conduction sensor and AI beamforming, with automatic switching between 2 devices

For calls, a bone conduction sensor and AI beamforming technology pick up your voice.

Multipoint connection lets you connect 2 devices at once and switches between them automatically, for example a phone and a laptop. The earbuds also support Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair for quick pairing.

Up to 8 hours for the earbuds, up to 24 hours with the charging case, and 5 minutes of charging for about 1 hour

When using AAC or SBC, the earbuds play for up to 8 hours with noise cancelling on and up to 12 hours with it off, or up to 24 hours with the charging case. Quick charging for 5 minutes gives about 1 hour of playback.

The charging case charges over USB-C or Qi wireless charging. Each earbud weighs about 6.5g (with size M ear tips) and the charging case weighs about 47g. Noise isolation ear tips in several sizes are included.
